We are extremely pleased to announce that SunFiber was developed as a project with the support of funds from the European Union.
Project Name: Fiber Optic Illuminator
Project Objectives:
The project aims to create a solution for transporting sunlight (daylight) in the visible light spectrum to rooms and spaces without direct contact with external barriers such as roofs or walls, using fiber optic technology, in order to illuminate these spaces with natural light.
Planned Effects:
As a result of the project, the SunFiber product will be commercialized, achieving the goal of reducing eye strain problems caused by working under artificial lighting (unpleasant color, flickering, blue light emission); eliminating the problem of improper color rendering; reducing the demand for electricity used for lighting rooms and spaces; reducing limitations in building design related to the need to implement solutions for transporting daylight to spaces with permanent workstations; and reducing costs associated with constructing such buildings. Additionally, it will reduce heat loss by minimizing the necessary area of transparent barriers. The outcome of the project will be the creation of an innovative light-transporting device, the SunFiber fiber optic illuminator.
